This year’s Big Day of Giving was a meaningful reminder of what makes the Olivia Chan Foundation community so special.

Throughout the day, supporters showed up with generosity, encouragement, and heart — helping us raise awareness for our mission to support children, teens, young adults, and families navigating grief.

Thanks to our community, OCF received 45 online donations from 45 unique donors, raising $3,901 online during Big Day of Giving. Our page also received 156 profile visits, helping introduce more people to our work and our long-term goal of bringing a dedicated grief center to Sacramento.

Spreading Generosity with Heart Hands

One of the highlights of this year’s campaign was participating in the #SpreadGenerosity movement. We shared a special carousel featuring a young Olivia making heart hands, followed by photos of our supporters wearing OCF gear and making heart hands in her honor.

It was a simple gesture, but it captured so much of what this foundation is built on: love, remembrance, community, and hope.

Every heart hand, every share, every donation, and every word of encouragement helped carry Olivia’s light forward.

Why Your Support Matters

Funds raised through Big Day of Giving help support the ongoing work of the Olivia Chan Foundation — including grief support programs, volunteer training, program materials, outreach, community events, and the operational needs that allow us to continue serving families.

Most importantly, your generosity helps us move closer to our larger vision: creating a safe, welcoming grief center in Sacramento where children, teens, young adults, and families can find support, connection, and healing.

Thank You

To everyone who donated, visited our page, shared our posts, participated in #SpreadGenerosity, or helped spread the word — thank you.

Your support helps us continue our mission to Help. Honor. Heal.

Big Day of Giving may be one day, but the impact of your generosity continues far beyond it.

If you missed Big Day of Giving or would still like to support our work, donations are always welcome. Every gift helps us continue building programs, supporting grieving families, and moving closer to bringing a dedicated grief center to Sacramento.
