After tragically losing her nine-year-old daughter, Reina channeled her grief into action and founded the Olivia Chan foundation. The foundation has provided solace and resources to youth and their families navigating the challenging journey of grief. Her love for her daughter fueled her dedication to making a difference in the lives of others, particularly those facing grief and loss.

Rachel brings her experience as a social worker and healthcare operations specialist to the forefront of our mission, which is to provide essential grief support to children who have lost a parent or sibling. Having worked extensively with underserved communities, she is dedicated to ensuring that our organization plays a vital role in helping these children navigate their grief journey with compassion and care.

Joy spends her free time as an active member of the community, supporting various non-profits and even serving as a board member for the City of Sacramento Civil Service Board. Joy’s dedication to the Olivia Chan Foundation is personal, driven by her love for her goddaughter Olivia and she has made it her mission to help others understand the complexity of grief and to help those who may just need someone to listen.

A busy father of three, Joel is also a small business owner and finds time to support local non profits. As one of Olivia’s uncles, being a part of the Olivia Chan Foundation has special meaning to him. Joel has a firm commitment to honor her memory by helping others with their grief journey.
